Admissions & Referrals
If you have a relative or friend who has made the choice and selected Maryland Healthcare for placement, and would like to be referred, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we can assist you on the appropriate channels to navigate the guidelines and processes that surround the nursing care home placement system in Northern Ireland.
To ensure the right nursing care package is achieved for the resident, a ‘Pre Assessment’ visit is arranged with the resident by a qualified and experienced member of the Maryland Healthcare team. This will involve direct feedback of close family and friends, nurses and carers in order to achieve a good representation of nursing and holistic care requirements.
In basic terms, the more information we receive the more tailored we can make the care, as it is extremely important to not only understand the resident in present day, but also to understand the resident from days gone by, their thoughts and achievements.
Maryland Healthcare fees are based on individual care needs identified in the assessment. Residents may be eligible for financial help towards the cost of care. This will be determined through the local Health & Social Care Trusts.
